As Mindful bakes headquarters is essentially a family home please make allowances for some mess!

We welcome children between the ages of 2-16 years to all of our sessions. We carefully consider each child’s age, cooking ability and any allergies or additional needs when booking sessions. For example if your child has an allergy we will ensure they work with other children who may have the same allergy or work 1:1 with us. We welcome all children with their parents regardless of your race, ethnicity, age, ability or locality. We promise we are a friendly and welcoming bunch!

How many children attend each session?
It depends on location. In Collingbourne Ducis we can accomodate up to eight children. It is a delightful Victorian old school house and also a family home. Grafton has a fully equipped kitchen for hire so we can acomodate up to 15 children and in Potterne only eight.
Can my child eat lunch or tea at the cookery school?
Yes, if you have booked a lunch time or afternoon session this includes a meal. Alternatively, if you wish your child to enjoy a hit meal as part of our after school club or shorter sessions please tell us and we can acomodate your needs for an additional £2.50
Will my child take the food home?
Sometimes there is food left over after the meal to take home, so please bring a takeaway container with you, and on baking courses you leave with a big bag of baked goodies. On every course you will receive a recipe file of all the bakes created.
Who attends the cookery school?
The courses attracts children and their parents of all ages and from all walks of life, a mixture of girls and boys, vegans, vegetarians and non veggies, confident cooks and those less experienced and those just stuck in a rut. Many come on their own, some in pairs or small groups of family and friends. Every day is different.
Do you take group/ private bookings?
We take private bookings for 8-10 people. These are suitable for hen parties, birthday parties, family get together’s and corporate outings. We are happy to book you a venue, you come to us or we come to you! We are usually available any day, that isn’t already running with an advertised course. The course would be of your choosing, either from our current programme or mix & match from our courses, or we can design a bespoke course according to your taste. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
